Design: “Trans-sustainability” and systems
Round table on Italian Design
Vancouver, February 9th, 2010
On the occasion of the presence in Vancouver of the Farnesina Design Collection, on Tuesday, February 9, a round-table event will take place at the Emily Carr University of Art and Design, with the participation of the curators of the exhibition, of leading designers, industrialists and academicians from both Italy and Canada. The theme of the event will be Italian design, with particular focus on the issue of sustainability.
The Italian Chamber of Commerce in Canada is co-organizing Fashion Has No Borders™ (FHNB) taking place on March 20th, 2010 in Calgary. The exhibition will be presented in a boutique setting at the BMO Centre at Stampede Park.
The Chamber will be hosting fashion designers from Italy presenting their lines in Alberta for the first time ever in the Italian Area and during the Fashion Shows.

Quality Approved 2010 – Certification available for Italian Restaurants in Canada
As of March 2010, for a period of 2 months, the Italian Chamber of Commerce will collect applications from Italian restaurants in British Columbia and Alberta to present them as candidates for the 1st International Italian Hospitality Award.
Selected applicants will be inspected and certified as authentic Italian restaurants, based upon the approval of the International Commission in Italy.
Approved restaurants will receive certificates, plaques and other official materials and will be candidates for the World Italian Restaurant Award 2010.

The Italian Chamber of Commerce in Canada, in partnership with EURO&MED FOOD,
is organizing a trade mission reserved to a limited number of Canadian
food importers and distributors interested in developing new business
opportunities in Italy. This year 6th edition of EuroMed will take
