DESCRIPTION:Parliamo Italiano 2! Conversation & Fluency Practice is the best way to improve oral fluency through conversational practice.\nThis course is designed to help Intermediate students improve their oral fluency and confidence in Italian through engaging conversational practice. Each week the instructor will introduce new topics and guide discussions using a variety of materials such as short readings, videos, music, articles, and other resources related to contemporary Italian culture and everyday life.\nThe class includes 1.5 hours of conversational practice, giving students the opportunity to actively participate, express opinions, and interact with classmates in Italian.\nThe goal of the course is to create a supportive and dynamic environment where students can practice speaking regularly, expand their vocabulary, and gain confidence communicating in Italian. While the main focus is spoken fluency and interaction, the instructor will also highlight and correct key grammar points when needed and will clarify language questions that emerge during class discussions.\nCompletion of the Beginner Intermediate 2 Course is recommended.\n \nWhat you will learn\n\nStudents will expand their vocabulary in a way that will benefit both general conversation and discussion of specific topics\nStudents will familiarize themselves with a variety of current issues relating to Italy\nImprove speaking fluency and confidence through regular interaction in Italian about several topics, ranging from social and political issues to media, pop culture, films, music, fashion, food, and sports\nStrengthen grammatical accuracy through short reviews connected to each week’s conversation topics\n\n \nSyllabus\nBenvenute e Benvenuti!\nStudents will be provided with handouts and class materials.\nNo textbook is required\nThursday evening, April 16 to June 25, 2026\n5:00 pm- 6:30 pm PST\n11 weeks – Classes meet once a week on Zoom.\n \nCourse Fee\nEarly Bird Rate 210$ (+5%GST) – available until April 1st\n240$ (+ GST) after April 2nd\n \nCourse Cancellations\nPlease note that the school administration may cancel courses due to low enrollment.
