DESCRIPTION:Grammar is tricky and can be an inconsistent thing. Being the backbone of speech and writing, it should, we think, be eminently logical, and make perfect sense, as the human skeleton. But, of course, the skeleton is arbitrary, too. So grammar is.\nAnd what about words that look similar between the two languages but mean a different thing! These words are the wolves in sheep’s clothing of language learning. The false friends!\nIf you’re struggling with prepositions, false friends, or verbs…this course is for you! You will also have the chance to ask the questions you were always afraid to ask!\nCompletion of the intermediate 1 (at least) Course is recommended\nWhat you will learn\n\nItalian culture, including daily life, film, cuisine, and vacationing.\nYou will master your pronunciation Students will understand better some aspects of the Italian grammar such as prepositions, verbs, phrasal verbs, false friends\n\nSyllabus\nBenvenute e Benvenuti!\nStudents will be provided with handouts and class materials.\nNo textbook is required.\nSchedule\nThursday, July 18 to June 24, 2022\n5:00 pm – 6 pm PST\n4 weeks – Classes meet once a week on Zoom.\nTickets\n90$ (+5%GST)\nCourse Cancellations\nPlease note that courses may be canceled by the school administration at any time due to low enrollment.
