The\u00a0business leaders\u00a0of the G7 meet in Quebec City on April 5th and 6th. The Business Summit 2018, organized by the Canadian Chamber of Commerce, represents the business and corporate world and anticipates the political G7 summit in June chaired by Canada.<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

In view of the Canadian presidency of the G-7, scheduled for the 8th and 9th June in La\u00a0Malbaie\u00a0in Quebec, the\u00a0Canadian Chamber of Commerce<\/strong>\u00a0is organizing on 5 and 6 April in Quebec City, the\u00a0Business\u00a0Leaders\u00a0Summit – B7<\/strong>, which brings together delegations from the business associations from each of the G7 countries and anticipates annual political summit, to develop recommendations and proposals from\u00a0from\u00a0the business and entrepreneurial world.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The B7 2018 will be co-chaired by\u00a0Monique F. Leroux<\/strong>, Chair of the Board of\u00a0Investissement\u00a0Qu\u00e9bec<\/strong>\u00a0and president of the\u00a0Quebec Economic and Innovation Council and Dawn Farrell,<\/strong> president and CEO of\u00a0TransAlta\u00a0Corporation<\/strong>\u00a0and Director of the\u00a0Business Council of Canada.<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The themes at the heart of the business world recommendations will be resource efficiency, inclusive growth and the growth of small businesses.\u00a0The works will be focused, also in continuity with the 2018\u00a0edition of B7 organized in Rome by\u00a0Confindustria, on the exploitation of natural resources, the circular economy and energy efficiency; the priorities of trade and investment with in terms of sustainability and social inclusion; the renewal of the global entrepreneurial agenda with particular\u00a0attention to small and medium-entreprises\u00a0and no longer traditionally oriented only on horizontal issues.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Perrin Beatty<\/strong>, President and CEO of the Canadian Chamber of Commerce and chairman of the B7 business summit host committee, said with\u00a0entusiasm:\u00a0\u201cThe work of the B7 is vital to informing the policy decisions of our nations\u2019 leaders and to creating the conditions required for business to grow, and our countries to prosper\u201d\u00a0<\/em><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The Italian delegation of\u00a0Confindustria<\/strong>, which could\u00a0be present in Quebec City, is composed of the president\u00a0Vincenzo\u00a0Boccia,\u00a0Carlo\u00a0Robiglio<\/strong>, president of\u00a0Piccola\u00a0Industria,\u00a0Licia Mattioli<\/strong>, vice president for International Affairs,\u00a0Giulio\u00a0Pedrollo<\/strong>, vice president for Industrial Policy and general manager\u00a0Marcella\u00a0Panucci.<\/strong>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The\u00a0Final Declaration<\/strong>\u00a0of the summit will be\u00a0presented by<\/a>\u00a0the Canadian premier\u00a0Justin Trudeau\u00a0<\/strong>and presented and distributed at a joint press conference with all the leaders of the\u00a0partecipating\u00a0industrial organizations which will take place on April 6th.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
