Led by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.acciona.ca\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Acciona<\/strong><\/a> and <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ghella.com\/en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ghella<\/a>, <\/strong>Acciona-Ghella Joint Venture also includes IBI Group Professional Services, Dialog Design, Mott MacDonald and Ingenieria Especializada Obra Civil e Industrial, S.A. which will be responsible for the design.<\/p>\n<p>With the budget of $2.83 billion,<strong> the Broadway Subway project<\/strong> is a key part of the rapid transit program in the Metro Vancouver Mayors\u2019 Council\u2019s 10-Year Vision, funded by the governments of B.C. and Canada, TransLink and local municipalities.<\/p>\n<p>It is a 5.7-kilometre extension of the Millennium Line, from VCC-Clark Station to Broadway and Arbutus. It will provide fast, frequent and convenient SkyTrain service to B.C.\u2019s second-largest jobs centre,\u00a0health services and an emerging innovation and research hub, and growing residential communities.<\/p>\n<p>Once opened, the commute from VCC-Clark Station to Arbutus Station will take about 11 minutes.
