The Italian Chamber of Commerce is inviting tour operators in Western Canada to participate in a trade mission to Lipari, Italy from October 10th to October 14th, 2015. Participating operators will be invited to extend their trip in Italy.

Mirabilia project (http://www.mirabilianetwork.eu/en/) includes 13 unique and wonderful Italian landmarks and places that are now UNESCO (The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization) world heritage sites. This is a network of places recognized as UNESCO world heritage sites, but Italian and international tourists are not familiar with them. The main goal is to promote these sites and make them known to the general public. These tourist offerings aim to promote a different kind of Italy – places that have not been impacted by mass tourism. This is custom-made tourism, on a smaller scale, which welcomes and takes very good care of tourists.

Qualified tour operators in Western Canada will be invited to visit Lipari, Italy as a part of an international promotion program. The operators will attend several B2B meetings presenting offers of the 13 Italian regions and match them with demands of buyers in Western Canada.

Following the activities in Lipari tour operators will be invited to extend their staying to visit one of the 13 italian regions involved in the project.

Selected tour operators are offered the following incentives:

  • full coverage of a return flight Canada – Italy;
  • local transportation;
  • 4 nights’ hotel accommodation in Lipari (plus accomodation in the selected region);
  • daily meals (buffet lunch);
  • interpreting services;
  • business matching and customized B2B agenda.

If you wish to participate in this initiative please fill out the application form and kindly send it back by July 18th.

If selected, you will be required to guarantee your attendance at the planned meetings, according to the agenda set up specifically for you. As the goal of this project is to develop new travelling packages to the mentioned UNESCO sites, selected operators are expected to actively engage in the promotion of these regions by their company. Please note that qualified companies will be chosen on a first come first served basis and in the selection process preference will be given to business members of ICCC.
