CILS B1 CITTADINANZA – DECEMBER 3rd – REGISTRATION will close on October 21
Created by the University of Siena in Italy, the CILS certification attests one’s linguistic-communicative competence in Italian as a second language.
The CILS certification is the first Italian language certification to have applied six levels of linguistic-communicative competence from the Common European Framework of Reference and to have offered specific certifications for foreign workers in Italy.
Please note that examinations will only be activated if a minimum number of 6 participants is reached. If the minimum number is not reached, the school administration may cancel the exam anytime due to low enrollment. Upon cancellation, registrants can receive a full refund or use the amount already paid as a credit for the next exam session.
Please note that payment alone does not constitute registration for the exam. Your enrollment can only be finalized once we have received all of the required documentation (see below)
Exam Fee
The cost for CILS B1 Citizenship is $370 + GST for Early Bird purchases. This price is available until October 20th and includes the enrollment fee that is paid directly to the University for Foreigners of Siena. Please get in touch with us for enrollment instructions. The regular fee is $400 + GST.

Important: If any of below documents or information is missing, it will be impossible to complete your registration, and we will not be able to submit your application to the University.
In order to complete your enrollment, we require the following:

Without these documents, it will be IMPOSSIBLE to complete your registration.
Additionally, please be aware that the exam will only take place if we reach a minimum of five participants. You will receive a confirmation email from our school once the exam is officially confirmed.

Sonia Dal TortoSonia Del Torto is a Sessional Instructor in the Department of World Languages and Literatures at Simon Fraser University and serves as Learning & Development Specialist and Teaching Coordinator at La Scuola, the Italian language school of the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Canada-West. At La Scuola, she oversees educational strategy and curriculum development, designs and delivers educational programs, and coordinates and mentors a team of instructors.
Sonia has taught Italian in Vancouver since 2018, working across university and private language-school settings. Her work focuses on Italian language education, curriculum development. She has also developed interdisciplinary educational projects exploring Italian literature, history, and culture.
She holds a Master’s degree in International Cooperation and Protection of Human Rights and has a professional background in project management, grant writing, and intercultural education, with experience developing initiatives focused on inclusion, education, youth, and community development.
