Journey into the Italian culture

Come on a Journey with Us!

Ludovica and Sonia will accompany you to discover the Italian culture in cycles of four themed lessons. You will go through centuries of Italian history and culture together in the company of architects, sculptors, painters, writers, poets, inventors. The meetings will be held in Italian via Zoom.

First theme: Architecture

From the Renaissance by Filippo Brunelleschi, to the innovation of Renzo Piano, passing between the villas of Andrea Palladio and the houses of the Italian Liberty.

1. Friday 28 August: An evening with Filippo Brunelleschi
2. Friday 11 September: A walk among the villas of Andrea Palladio
3. Friday 25 September: Discovering Italian Liberty with Pietro Fenoglio
4. Friday 2 October: Renzo Piano: a bridge between innovation and tradition

Each of the 4 sessions lasting two hours (starts at 17:30) and is divided into 4 parts:

• presentation of the protagonist and the historical-cultural context;
• interactive activities;
• media support;
• testimonials, interviews and surprises.

Fee

120 CAD (+ GST) for each Theme (includes 4 sessions). 10% discount for all students of the Dante Italian Language School of the current year.

Location

The courses will be held in Italian via Zoom.
