This workshop is conducted in English and will introduce you to Dante and Divina Commedia. Participants will explore Dante’s Inferno, Purgatorio, and Paradiso, outlining the atmosphere and the soundscape by focusing on little pieces of the literary work.

Composers and performers will then have 10 days to produce a 5-minute Audio Video music piece. The AV recordings will be premiered on Vancouver New Music’s YouTube channel by the end of November and early December.

Week of the Italian Language in the World

The Week of the Italian Language in the World is an event that has been held since 2001 and that over time has become one of the most important initiatives dedicated to the celebration of the Italian language internationally. Since its establishment, the initiative has been awarded each year High Patronage by the Presidency of the Republic.
Each Week is dedicated to a different theme, which serves as a common thread for a rich programme of conferences, exhibitions and meetings.
