In celebration of June, the Month of Italian Heritage, the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Canada West, in collaboration with the Assocamerestero and the Emilia Romagna Region et al, is inviting all restaurants in the region of British Columbia to take part in the premier edition of the True Italian Taste Awards 2019 – Emilia Romagna Edition.

Selected participants will each receive a $500 coupon to source authentic Emilia Romagna ingredients or wine from one of our quality approved importers/distributors. They will then choose between either or both options:

• Creative food wine pairing of Emilia Romagna and an item in your existing menu (we encourage pairing with locally sourced meal/wine)
• Showcase your talent by coming up with your own recipe based on authentic Emilia Romagna

Your True Emilia Romagna special Item(s) should be offered to your diners from May 13th to June 8th, 2019.

We will be promoting your restaurants to our network of foodies and foodie influencers and encouraging them to share photos of your meal on social media.

How to Participate

 

To participate you must:

1. Fill up the application Form (before May 8^th):  http://bit.ly/RestaurantApplication
2. Be an existing member of the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Canada West or willing to become a member( $550+ tax. Check our membership page for the list of membership benefits).
3. Be willing to print and share promo materials of the campaign in your restaurant during the pre-awards tasting event (May 13^th to June 8^th )

Why to Participate

 

1. You will find and build relationship with direct importers of quality Italian ingredients.
2. The winning restaurant will receive the prestigious True Italian Taste Awards 2019 – Emilia Romagna edition handed by Emilia Romagna Region representatives and True Italian Taste ambassadors (Flying to Vancouver to hand in the awards)
3. All selected participants will receive an invitation for two to the Exclusive Awards Reception on June 4^th.
4. All participating restaurants will enter to a draw for a chance to win special prizes including a foodie tour to Emilia Romagna valued at $5,000.
5. Participants will receive free publicity and media exposure through the media partners of the campaign.
6. Participants benefit from extended range of ICCC West membership services throughout the year.
