The Pizza Weeks!

Taking place from November 20th to December 4th, the initiative is designed for Pizzerias and Restaurants in the Greater Vancouver Area and in Calgary.
During those two weeks, participating Pizzerias and Restaurants are invited to develop and promote a special two-week menu featuring Italian DOP & IGP products.

If you are a Pizzeria or a Restaurant:
The Italian Chamber of Commerce in Canada-West will sponsor the purchase of DOP & IGP products to Pizzerias and Restaurants that are ICCBC members, and promote initiatives and events of all participating businesses.
If you are a Food importer / Distributor / Vendor:
The Italian Chamber of Commerce in Canada-West will refer your business to all participating Pizzerias and Restaurants for the purchase of products and promote your business through all Chamber’s channels.
By November 11th
Requirements to Apply:
–    Maximum $300 products (DOP & IGP products) purchase value.
–    Limited number of sponsorships available; priority for this special promotion will be given to Pizzerias.
–   Communication guidelines for the promotion of the menu and use of project logos must be followed.
–   Need to apply for ICCBC membership by November 11th, 2017.

The event will take place on Friday, November 24th and it will include:

  • 2pm – 5pm : WORKSHOPS on authentic Italian products and Pizza classes

Admission CAD 49 (includes pizza making class + welcome drink) – RSVP required –  Places are limited (first come, first served basis)

Masterclasses on Italian PDO and PGI products (Vancouver, November 22nd-23rd)

The Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MAECI) in close cooperation with the Italian Ministry of Agricultural, Food and Forestry Policies (MIPAAF) has launched the “First Week of Italian Cuisine in the world’’, an initiative realized with the collaboration of all public and private stakeholders who have, in various ways, represented top level Italian cuisine and Italy in the world. The event intends to provide continuity to the themes successfully developed by Expo Milano 2015 and by the Extraordinary Italian Taste project.

The initiative will take place from 21 to 27 November in 105 Countries with an agenda of more than 1,300 events including contests, conferences, tastings, thematic dinners, exhibitions on culinary themes and technical and scientific workshops.

In occasion of this week, we are glad to invite you to attend two interactive Masterclasses in order to learn about the nutritional benefits of using PDO and PGI products from Italy, and learn tasty, new recipes which we can share with you.

The Masterclasses is addressed to chefs, nutritionists, food professionals, journalists, bloggers and will be held on November, 22nd and 23rd (8.45AM-12.00PM) at the VCC – Vancouver Community College – Downtown Campus (250, West Pender St., Vancouver).
