The Art of Espresso Premiered At Una Serata Incantata

On Sep 2019, on the occasion of IDS, The Italian Chamber of Commerce in Canada West hosted an event at Valcucine Showroom.
This by-invitation Serata Incantata (Enchanted Evening) gathering was a special event as it celebrated many important occasions.
The teaser of our documentary The Art of Espresso was displayed on the screens for the first time. The Art of Espresso is a unique documentary that investigates the secret of the perfect espresso, and the rare “art” behind it!
The documentary features conversations and deep interviews with some of our esteemed members and friends who over the years and/or through family traditions have mastered this art:

Within the occasion, we also welcomed and celebrated the arrival of the new Consul General Fabio Messineo and thanked him for his presence at the event.
The event also celebrated our guests from Italy, that were representing 2 design companies Italamp and Sogni di Cristallo, who through new trade agreements – made possible through the INN Veneto program – will be soon exporting more of their quality handcrafted 100% Made in Italy chandeliers to Vancouver!
The event was partially sponsored by the Italian Ministry of Economic Development within the program The Extraordinary Italian Taste, a program that for the last 3 years allowed us to promote awareness in North America about the authentic and certified Italian food products.

Bringing the Best of Venice Craftsmanship to Vancouver (INNVeneto)

Within the program INNVeneto, the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Canada West in partnership with Venetica Coop. hosted representatives from two established Venetian Lighting companies: Mr. Marco Borile of Sogni Di Cristallo and Mr. Francesco Belloni of Italamp. During this successful trade mission, through the hosted events and meetings by the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Canada West, representatives met with potential distributors, partners, interested architects, interior designers as well as construction developers.
We hope that our guests enjoyed their stay in Vancouver as much as we enjoyed hosting them.

Emilia Romagna Mission June 3rd-6th
Emilia–Romagna is known as one of the richest regions of Italy with regards to its gastronomic and wine-making tradition. In celebration of the month of the Italian Heritage, esteemed delegates from the Emilia Romagna region visited Vancouver for a series of face to face networking with Vancouver foodies, private meetings and B2B meetings with importers, food distributors and media from June 3rd to June 6th.

Call for Food Importers & Distributors: Qualify and Get Rewarded
In celebration of June, the Month of Italian Heritage, the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Canada West, in collaboration with the Assocamerestero and the Emilia Romagna Region et al, is inviting all food importers and distributors in the region of British Columbia to qualify and be a part of the premier edition of the True Italian Taste Awards 2019 – Emilia Romagna Edition.
Participating restaurants are required to buy Emilia Romagna ingredients or wine for the competition from participating quality approved importers/distributors. They will each receive a $500 coupon to be spent at one qualified importer of choice.
How to Participate
To participate you must:
- Fill up the application Form (before May 10th): http://bit.ly/2H4QecH
- Be an existing member of the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Canada West or willing to become a member( $550+ tax. Check our membership page for the list of membership benefits).
- Supply (open to supply) Emilia Romagna products.
- Receive and share the communication materials of the campaign in your social media and tag us (May 13th to June 8th).

- Participating restaurants will be featuring your products from May 13thto June 8th. They will receive free publicity and media exposure through the media partners of the campaign.

Call for Volunteers
In celebration of June, the Month of Italian Heritage, the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Canada West is organizing a series of exciting events to be held from May 29th to June 9th as follow:
- May 29th: European Days
- June 3rd: Emilia Romagna Trade show – Food/Wine delegation from Italy
- June 4th: The Authentic Italian Table Reception
- June 9th: The Authentic Italian Table on the Drive
These events will be a great time and an exciting opportunity for all interested in Italian food wine, and culture. To continue to make these events a great success we depend on assistance from interested volunteers.
Volunteers will be the first contact for many of the attendees. Their great role will be to help organize, welcome our local and Italian guests, and foster a spirit of hospitality.
We would very much appreciate your assistance in helping us make our upcoming events a memorable experience for all attending guests. Please take a moment to review and fill up our application form, or if you are not available or unable to join, pcirculate and share our call.
